There is Enough Love to go Around

I feel so blessed to be a part of the group of families that have adopted from DRC. They are an amazing group of people. I have felt so supported over the years. It’s so inspiring to watch them show the love of Jesus to their children and to others. Going through this process is very hard and having people you can rely on to lift you up is crucial. The journey we are taking isn’t always supported by family, friends or even our churches so having each other to share with and lean on has been vital to us. You know…someone who understands our crazy! There are families who started the process again after just returning home with their little ones. There are families who are working on their fourth and fifth adoptions, it’s so cool to see how God has opened their eyes and their hearts. There are families who adopted and are now advocating for children, setting up agricultural programs, supporting orphanages, building orphanages, partnering with local churches, building churches, I could go on and on.

There really is something about DRC that captures your heart. A team from our church went just to check on a water project we funded and they were HOOKED! They are headed back in a few months to work with church leaders. It is just an incredible place.

Sometimes I get a little overwhelmed with all the fundraising efforts we have had for adoptions and mission trips and school sponsorships, etc, but I have to remember that there really is enough love to go around. We live in God’s economy and he will provide. If all of us get out of our own little shell and off our own personal hamster wheels, all of these projects can be funded. All God wants is for us to say “yes” and He will work. He wants us to get on His plan and just say “yes” to what He is asking of us.
