Another step closer

Yesterday we were finally able to send in our USCIS packet. This is a big deal. We started our home study in April! We had our actual home visit in July and the home study was done in October. There was no real reason for how long things took, it is just sort of the way things have worked out. I can see now, that if things had gone more quickly we would be in a different place and I know that God has his hands all over this process. We had to get several last minute edits done before we could send it in and amazingly, that went very quickly! I feel like we have been lost in a flurry of paperwork these past 10 days. It’s been a good flurry.

Now the wait sets in. All of our paperwork is in country and in to our own government. We wait on appointments and court documents. The wait is hard. We have lots to do on our end, but we know that anything can happen while they are still in country. Things can go wrong with governments, kids can get sick, etc. We rely on God, as always, to care for our kids and care for us.

While we are waiting, we have lots to do! There are funds to raise, mission trips to plan and hopefully a move to make all in the next couple of months. Like I said, lots going on!!!
