Mexico Day Three

I'm getting behind on my blogging because we are having too much fun and I am worn out at the end of the day.

Today we got to put on a women's program at one of the churches. We have been a little stressed about this because no one was quite sure what we would be doing. First it was a full program, then there wouldn't be time to do one at all and so on. We never really planned what we would speak about, but one of the women was a genious and brought a craft for the women and it turned out to be a big hit!




When it was time to start our women's time, there were three women there to listen. There was 3 of us and 3 of them! Eventually more showed up. We each gave our testimony and did the craft with them. I went through my testimony way too fast because I was afraid I would go too long. The kids were upstairs doing a puppet show and all kinds of cool stuff. They started a coloring contest and the soccer girls handed out some shoes. Those big girls had a blast playing with all the kiddos. All the big girls have just been awesome with the little kids here. They really have connected well and are seeing things with their own eyes.



We have had the opportunity to go to the soccer park and hang out with kids while the other kids play soccer on the field. The little girls are particulary fun and one has taken a liking to my cell phone! We were all sitting around on bleachers when we looked underneath and there was a little boy about 2 years old. He was squatting down going poop on the ground and when it wouldn't come out, he just reached around and pulled it out! We gave him some hand sanitizer, but I don't think that it was enough!

There has been a lot of personal growth on my part and I have been learning quite a bit about what it takes to put a trip like this together.
