Adoption is all about me.
If you want to do something that is truly “all about you” then you should adopt. You should adopt multiple children of all ages, with all kinds of issues. Nothing in this world will be more about you that that! YOU receive the following benefits:
-You will be rocked to your core
-You will question everything you believed to be true about yourself
-You will question everything you thought to be true about others in your family
-You will be fully burned up with the Refiner’s fire
-You will realize the depths of your own selfishness and depravity
-You will see the glory of God
-You will realize that hearing a child laugh is the most beautiful sound you have ever heard
-You will be aware of and deal with of all your old junk either by choice or the fire thing I mentioned earlier
-You will see things that you never thought were possible
-You will see Jesus in your children (even when you can’t see Him in yourself)
-You will be drawn closer to God than ever before
-You will gain a deeper understanding of what Jesus did on the cross
-You will never be the same
It is the greatest and most wonderful adventure!! Now…off to have some “me time” with the kiddos!!!
